I have only faced two downtimes with HostGator in past 1 year, due to their server maintenance. Other than that their services worked like a charm, if I had any trouble, I simply have an online chat with their technical representatives and they try their best to resolve my issues. However the Live Chat support takes a long time to get connected due to lots of users. If you need urgent support, you must call their toll free helpline to get your issues fixed. Good review I must say. I am super satisfied with HostGator’s web hosting. Using their service for 2 years & never had any problems, live chat support is great but sometimes at peak hours you might have to wait in a queue.
